Merry Lamb

Once you try this lamb, you will never look back ! This exceptional dish will melt in your mouth and will definitely be your family and friends favorite dinner.
It's a great dish for holiday season.


  • 1.5 kg lamb shoulder

  • 400 gr carrots cut in 5-7 cm pieces

  •  2 garlic cloves thinly sliced

  • 1 onion thinly sliced

  •  1 stock of your choice

  • 1 bouquet garni

  • 4 tbsp honey

  • 400 ml water

  • Salt and pepper to taste


Step 1

  • Preheat the oven at 140 degrees on fan mode.

Step 2

  •  In a cast iron casserole, put some salt and pepper and brown the lamb shoulder on the stove. Set aside.

Step 3

  • Fry the onion and garlic in a bit of olive oil for a few minutes. Add the lamb shoulder, the carrots, the bouquet garni, the honey and the stock and cover with the water.

Step 4

  • Place in the oven with the lid on for approximately 4-5 hours till the lamb is very tender and can be shredded with a fork and the juice has reduced. If there is still too much water, you can finish cooking the lamb on the stove for 15-30 minutes until you have a luscious thick sauce.
