
DESCRIPTION

Ingredients
1.5 kg lamb shoulder
400 gr carrots cut in 5-7 cm pieces
2 garlic cloves thinly sliced
1 onion thinly sliced
1 stock of your choice
1 bouquet garni
4 tbsp honey
400 ml water
Salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
Step 1
Preheat the oven at 140 degrees on fan mode.
Step 2
In a cast iron casserole, put some salt and pepper and brown the lamb shoulder on the stove. Set aside.
Step 3
Fry the onion and garlic in a bit of olive oil for a few minutes. Add the lamb shoulder, the carrots, the bouquet garni, the honey and the stock and cover with the water.
Step 4
Place in the oven with the lid on for approximately 4-5 hours till the lamb is very tender and can be shredded with a fork and the juice has reduced. If there is still too much water, you can finish cooking the lamb on the stove for 15-30 minutes until you have a luscious thick sauce.
