Ginger Sweet Chili Oil

DESCRIPTION

This chili oil is a quick and easy recipe to prepare. It spices up any dishes such as veggies, rice, rice dumplings etc...
Keep it in the fridge up to 2-3 weeks ;)

Ingredients

  • 10 gr sesame seeds

  • 30 gr green onions

  • 30 gr ginger

  • 2 gr Chinese 5 spices

  • 6 gr salt

  • 5 gr Szechuan pepper

  • 15 gr Gochugaru

  • 250 ml neutral oil (here avocado oil)

Preparation

Step 1


Finely chop the green onions and grate the ginger.


Step 2


Add all the spices, the green onions and the ginger in a heat resistant bowl.


Step 3 


Heat the oil (pro tip: you will know when your oil is ready when you put a wooden spatula and it bubbles around)


Step 4


Once your oil is ready, pour it cautiously on the spices.


Step 5


Let it cool and transfer to a glass jar. Place it in the fridge for up to 2-3 weeks.
