Making food from scratch isn't the fastest way but these homemade spelt flour hamburger buns are so healthy and easy to make that the effort is worth it!
500 gr spelt flour
15 gr baking powder
300 gr coconut yogurt (or plain yogurt)
100 gr plant based milk
125ml olive oil
3 tbsp honey
1 egg (to brush the buns)
Sesame seeds (to top the buns)
Mix the dry ingredients together, then add the wet ingredients and knead the dough either by hand or in a thermomix on "knead" mode for 6mins.
Form the buns.
Whisk the egg in a bowl, brush the buns and sprinkle them with the sesame seeds.
Bake them in the oven for 18-22mins.
