
DESCRIPTION
If you want an alternative to your classic hummus, try this red lentil spread! With a taste of India its flavors are intense and really yummy. It's full of spices and fresh coriander.
Ingredients
2 medium sized carrots (more or less 220gr)
140gr red lentil
45gr tahini
10gr fresh coriander
1/2tsp cumin powder
1/2 to 1 tsp madras curry powder
Pinch of cayenne pepper (optional)
1tbsp olive oil
1small garlic clove
30ml lime juice
Salt to your taste
Preparation
Step 1
Slice the carrots, add cumin, curry, Cayenne pepper, salt and olive oil. Toss everything and place in the oven at 200°degrees on fan mode for more or less 40mins (until very soft).
Step 2
In the meantime, cook the lentils in hot water. They need to be overcooked. Drain the excess water once cooked.
Step 3
When the carrots and lentils are cookes, blend them with the tahini, lime juice, garlic, fresh coriander until having the texture you desire!
